About Me

I love traveling, love having a general outline for a trip but being open to all of the unexpected fabulous things that can happen if you don't plan every detail. I like talking to people, even if they're weird. I love art and language. I love the finest things in many respects, but respect most those that live humbly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always felt that a house is created for the purpose of hospitality and love having people over (I wasn't able to host for a bit because I had a family with a 3 year old here, but they left in feb of 2015 so I have more freedom to have guests again!). It's also amazing to be able to travel and meet people who live in the region and can connect you with what life is really like there. It gives something that the finest hotels never could.

Interests

Love listening to and making music, surfing, hiking, sailing, horseback riding and sports. Passionate about food, wine and beer. You can find my music at www.facebook.com/OceansOver

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hiked onto Vandenberg Air Force base with a friend (to surf at the beach the next day), on a foggy night when they were launching a rocket. We narrowly missed being caught and arrested by the jeep patrols and helicopter sweep. At 10pm when the rocket launched, we were so close that the ground shook around us and the sky was brilliantly (and terrifyingly) on fire.
