Overview
About Me
We are a couple from Italy, Tommaso (aka Tommi) from Milan, and Filippo (aka Pippo) from Sardegna. We moved together to London in 2015 and lived there till May 2018. After three years living there we asked ourselves if we wanted to settle in such a chaotic city, the answer was no! We then got rid of most of our belongings, we left our flat and our jobs and decided to travel for few months, before moving to Italy. After seven months spent travelling around South East Asia we are now living in Sardegna, the region of Italy we want to call home. We are currently living in Pula, a pretty little town 40 minutes drive from Cagliari. Tommi is currently working in a resort close by, while Pippo is working from home. You will spend more time with Pippo, because Tommi is working 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week... crazy right?!?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think that hosting and being hosted through Couchsurfing is an excellent way to travel in a more authentic way. The encounters and friendships made along the way are better than any souvenir that money could buy. We have met many people that travelled through London and stayed with us, it has been an extreme pleasure to take care and look after them. Since we have joined Couchsurfing our horizon has expanded exponentially, we want to keep nourishing it and let it grow. We love the feeling of connection that this community transmits, especially in dark days like today, where people are afraid of others and live isolated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving our London jobs, our London home, reducing our footprint, selling and donating as much of our stuff as possible, to go travelling for seven months.
Teach, Learn, Share
While visiting Greece we ended up in a small village in the mountains, close to Delphi, its name was Arachova. There we met a Greek man in his sixties, he had left Athens few years back, and opened a small restaurant that he was running with his partner. While we were eating at his place, talking and drinking Tsikoudia, he told us a simple story that has inspired us since then.
"If you go to buy a washing machine, the sale assistant will show you two types of machine: one old model with only 10 programs and one with a 100 different settings. He will push you to buy the second type, and eventually you will convince yourself that you need those 100 programs. But if you think how many settings you normally use on a daily basis, you'll realise that you have never used more than 3!" This story was told to remind us that we didn't need much to be happy, and that having someone that would love our smiles and accept our tears was all we actually needed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are two genuine and caring guys, we love good food and can teach cooking some italian specialities. We are always up for a laugh and we like sharing.
We like boardgames and cards, and we can teach you Burraco, our favourite one.
We offer positive vibes and smiles, which we believe are the keys for happiness.
