About Me

A civilized primate

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my initial voyage as a solo traveler, I found myself woefully unprepared and severely limited by a severe lack of English proficiency. However, chance encounters with hospitable individuals, untethered by intermediaries such as Couchsurfing, allowed me to gain a deeper appreciation for the ease with which one can navigate foreign lands when surrounded by trustworthy acquaintances. As a result, my thirst for understanding the intricacies of foreign cultures was born, driving me to undertake successive voyages with Couchsurfing as my steadfast companion

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't like to divide music by genres, I listen everything. If you want you can see my playlists on Spotify because I don't find it easy to explain what I listen to. Just look for Tommaso Codarri among the users

Cinema is my second life for when I'm at home and I don't want to do anything, I think it's the best drug after music. I like "international" films and using MUBI I see a lot of them, also all the films that have made the history of cinema such as Italian neorealism and the French nouvelle vague or German expressionism cinema of the 1920s and if you want some advice I can send you a list of my favorite films. I like all the cinema even if I find it hard to see commercial films sometimes to have fun I watch some of them.

My favorite novel is "All quiet on the western front" by Erich Maria Remarque. I really like Dostoevskij, Pier Paolo Pasolini and Bertold Brecht even if I prefer to read non-fiction. A contemporary author who I find very brilliant is John Zerzan

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to lend a hand with anything that needs to get done. I have some background in gardening thanks to my dad's job, so I'm confident I can help you get your garden. Additionally, I've got some skills in the kitchen with Italian recipes and can tackle household chores. So don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything I can do to assist you. Looking forward to it!
