Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am relatively new to Couchsurfing, but I thoroughly enjoy traveling, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and experiencing the unknown. Furthermore, I love to immerse myself in new, challenging environments that allow me to gain truly authentic travel experiences.
Personally, I thrive off the energy of connecting with different people from around the globe that come from a variety of backgrounds. Music, Movies, and Books
There's too many to count!
In regards to books, naturally, I love to read books on travel and adventure. With that being said, a few books that have had a profound impact on my life include On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, and Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel by Ralph Potts. I highly recommend these to anyone that is looking for a good read!
I listen to all kinds of music, and am always open to suggestions for new tunes! The genres that I mainly listen to include reggae, indie, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, progressive house, pop, R&B, and classic rock.
For movies, I really appreciate films that have are exotic in nature and have an enthusiasm for detail. Some of my favorite movies are Lost In Translation, Midnight in Paris, Blow, The Departed, The Darjeeling Limited, & Fight Club.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm an adrenaline junkie down to the core, and there was no greater rush than bungee jumping in Interlaken, Switzerland in my boxers!
Additionally, the experiences that I gained during my time living as a student in Luxembourg and living in Toronto & Shanghai are some that I will cherish for a lifetime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love quotes, and have shared a few of my favorites below.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - H. Jackson Brown Jr.
"$1,000,000 in the bank isn't the fantasy. The fantasy is the lifestyle of complete freedom is supposedly allows." - Tim Ferriss
"Happiness is only real when shared." - Christopher McCandless
"The fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. No heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams." - Paulo Coelho
What I Can Share with Hosts
The variety of experiences that I've gained while living and traveling in four different countries have provided me with a unique perspective on life that I would love to share with others. Also, I am a great conversationalist and am very passionate about soaking up the wisdom, insights, and knowledge that others have to offer. Lastly, I love to try new things and am always ready for the next adventure!
