Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Tommy. I’m a very keen traveller and workawayer. I love to get immersed into the countries I visit through doing volunteer work alongside the locals on their fascinating and important projects. I have a degree in physics from the University of Bath, and I’m in the process of finding what a career might look like for me. It’s a huge privilege that I can spend so much time in new places, learning from their culture and from those with differing points of view.
Also, I would very much like to avoid having any regrets regarding taking advantage of my youth and I believe it is important to go off the beaten path rather than getting stuck in the ‘rat race’.
I am a very curious person and can take a lot of things in my stride. I enjoy various forms of exercise including Brazilian jiu jitsu and running, and I like to try out other things too. I have recently found a passion for the piano and am always happy to find a keyboard in the places I get the chance to visit.
I took 7 years of Spanish before university, so whilst I have a good level of ability, I can often find myself quite rusty. Therefore, I would like to spend some time in Spanish speaking countries to re-immerse myself in both the language and the culture.
All the best,
Tommy :)
