About Me

20 year old Architecture Student from Hong Kong who's curious about buildings, the world we live in, food, culture, language, people and just about everything. I like to be aquainted with different people of different backgrounds because of the amazing facts, lessons and stories that they offer, and hopeful one day I may offer some of them myself.

I used to live in the U.K. for 5 years for highschool and fortunately I was surounded by a group of diverse background and nationalities growing up and I am grateful for these experince that has turned me into a more open-minded person as well as my desire to find out more about this world by travelling to different places. This was first done by "couchsurfing" at my friends homes in France,Belgium,Germany and even in Turkey. After I returned home for university in Hong Kong and became 18, I started to go to different places on my own including my exchange in Sweden or short trips to the neighbouring beautiful island of Taiwan (Also sort of couchsurfing at a relative's place) . Slowly I start to realised the different possibilities of travellings from long distance buses to discovering an app called CouchSurfing, which I thought was perfect for me - a student who wants to discover the real local culture, meeting people of different backgrounds to the places that I want to go and discover.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As sorta mentioned above this for me is a change from traditional travelling methods of staying in hotels to a more local experience in culture and architecture. Or simply just meeting new people who has their unique stories to offer and share. Couchsurfing is the perfect platform for me to do just that and after hearing a few of fellow couchsurfers sharing their experiences I decided to join.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-wise contrary to common belief I pretty much never listen to chinese music I pretty much listen to English Songs now, I enjoy a bit of EDM, inde, cover songs and really just anything that feels right at that moment.

Books-wise once my teacher said "Architects are not readers" thats not exactly true but I have lost my reading habit since, now I read only for research, the last leisurely reading was "101 things I learned in architecture school".

Movies-wise I do enjoy mostly Action, Sci-Fi and Comedy, but can be really intriguied by a good Mystery, Crime, Drama. Rarely watches any scary movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every semester I design some new building, its like a product of day(and night)-dreaming for 3 months, but considering the amount of effort and time gone into each project I'd alway be amazed that I even finished.

Teach, Learn, Share

For those who like to learn a thing or two about hand sketching, architecture though I'm in no position of saying that I'm an expert. Otherwise of course I can share a thing or two about my life and my travel stories. Those who want to learn Mandarin, Cantonese or even English yeah sure of course I am proficient in these languages and of course I can teach you anything from a word to a phrase.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Chinese language, culture, if you're interested in a receipe for chinese for lemme ask my mom first.
Architectural Design, Hand-Sketching,again, I'm no expert but thats also something that I can share.
Otherwise, just like about my life stories from travels or otheriwse.
