ABOUT ME

Wanna experience different kinds of lives. Though dun have much experience in travelling, I do wanna know more about other's cultures and traditions, as well as the ways of thinking of other people~

Current occupation is rather boring, but I find my after-work life is on the other hand quite meaningful. Working as a volunteer in a concern group and I think it's really taught me what the real life is.

Really love to chat with people about what's going on around the world~ I think that's the biggest WHY I join Couch Surfing~
Besides I love some light hiking and playing soccer, though I'm not a keen footballer~
Reading and going to movies are also my favorite~
Finally, I do love doing some Chinese calligraphy and paintings in my spare time~

I fall in love with indie stuff recently, both for movies and musics~ I mean I hate those very commercial ones, though it's kinda hard to define the word 'commercial'. Well, anyway it depends on what and how the directors/composers wanna express, and usually I welcome different kinds of genre~!

Till now my favourite directors include Michael Haneke, Pedro Almodovar, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Akira Kurosawa, (楊德昌) Edward Yang, Jean-Luc Godard (I love his narration but I do need to explore more~)etc. There are some random movies, too, such as 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford', 'Me and you and Everyone We Know', 'the Lives of the Others' and a number of documentaries made by socialists around the world~ (Well it's quite impossible for me to list out all of them coz I really a movie go-er, at least for some years)

For music, My favourite band is Sigur Ros, Radiohead, EF, Decoder Ring, Immanu El, Mono, Mogwai, Interpol, Tokyo Incident, My Little Airport, (儉德大廈) Kim Tak House...

For books, I do love reading those narrating and describing the "real" people. You know those Hollywood stuff (no matter books or movies) always try to exaggerate people's power and always try to heroize the characters, which I find this dull. Also I like to read books introducing some sociology stuff~
