Overview
About Me
Spanish living in the Netherlands. In love with Amsterdam. Always worked in radio, now freelancing as Spanish voice-over and entrepreneur-ing with my own start-up company helping radio stations evaluate their content daily. I've always enjoyed photography, but I've been practicing more actively recently... specially land and city-scaping. I'm gay. And a huge fan of Eurovision Song Contest :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said above, I always worked in radio. Lately I've been obsessed about the idea of getting into podcasting more seriously that I've done so far. I would like to experiment with new formats. Recently I thought of an idea involving Couchsurfing: recording a podcast with interviews to couchsurfers staying over at my place.
Are you good at story-telling? Do you have an interesting, funny or incredible story of your own? Do you have experience in media, specially with communication on audio? Would you like to get involved in this project? And most importantly, would you like visiting Amsterdam?
If you believe you can answer positively to most of this questions, please, get in touch with me. Send me a message telling me your story and why you think it's interesting or funny. If I like it, I'll ask you to send me an audio (on WhatsApp or something) showing your story-telling skills :) If it all works out, we might be recording together in Amsterdam very soon!
Interests
Love traveling, obviously. Not too much into typical tourism, I prefer experiencing the cities like a local. I guess I'm a big-city guy. I'm one of those carrying the photo camera all day long (these are some of my photos: www.flickr.com/tommyferraz or you can follow on http://www.instagram.com/tommyenamsterdam_landscape). Love trying local food, from crappy fast food to more sophisticated. I'm kind of a geek too. I love sharing my experiences about the places I visit in Instagram, Flickr, FourSquare... I blog (medium.com/@tommyferraz), I podcast (sobreradio.com). Did I forget to mention I'm a fan of Eurovision? I'm going to Lisbon this year... ant will be my 5th :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a good memory. Let's have a conversation and I'll come up with as many as I remember.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I left my stable job, my place and my city looking for fresh air, new horizons and... adventure I guess. I did that twice.
Teach, Learn, Share
No idea what I can teach: Spanish, some Spanish recipes, to use your voice in a way you sound more self confident?
I would like to improve my Dutch, my photography and my Photoshop/Lightroom skills :) (Update: I would say now I can teach some cool photography techniques)
What I Can Share with Hosts
- I love cooking. I'm not a chef, but I have fun. Specially cooking pasta or asian.
- I love talking about politics. Or about philosophy or paranormal activity when drunk :)
- I always have a TV serie to recommend. Do you feel like starting a new one?
- If you would like to have a new photo book... I would love to be your photographer! I'm always open to practice photography with a nice (and patient) "model"! You can check my Instagram account for portraits: www.instagram.com/tommyenamsterdam_portrait
