Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Half the fun of traveling is the places you see and the people you meet. I have always had a better stay in a town when it was with a local or someone who knew the ropes.

Interests

Anything adventurous. I love the outdoors and natural wonders. Slack lining, boating, skiing, hiking, running, working out, any physical activity with a dose of adventure excites me.

I would love to pursue level two free diving next time I am on a coast. I did level one down to 20m, but would love to extend that to 30m. Even if you're not hosting and want a free dive buddy, I would be totally down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Chile once when a dormant volcano had a massive eruption for the first time in nearly 50 years. I got some incredible shots with my Nikon as the plume rose nearly 6 miles high and was illuminated bright orange as the sun started to set. That night we watched the lightning storm dance in the ash as a bright orange glow illuminated it from below. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed.

You could say I'm a science person. I love long discussions of nature and I am full of random animal facts.

I love to cook. Finding a new healthy recipe to cook is always enjoyable to me. Cooking is something that is fun and entertaining to me. I would love to share some recipes and find some new ones. If you like being in the kitchen, we will be best friends.
