About Me
Hi! I'm Tomo!
I'm a university student in Tokyo. I'm currently studying education but I'm actually more interested in history and psychology. Or maybe I'm more interested in drinking and sleeping.
In my free time, I read books, watch movies, watch basketball games, go for a walk, meet my friends, etc. I enjoy both going outside and staying inside. The world is huge so there is so much to do.
I am really looking forward to having a great time with you all. Traveling and meeting new people has helped me in a lot of ways and I will continue to do that till the day I die. See you soon!!
This is my Instagram account, in case you are interested.

※I graduated university in March 2024, worked at a recruitment company for 7 months, quit, and now traveling in Africa for a couple months. Don't know where my destination is and I don't know what my next occupation is. We will see...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and have fun! For me, the best part of traveling is to meet locals and spend time together. I love hearing wonderful stories. I also like sharing my stories. And I am sarcastic.
(I do not view myself as sarcastic, but my friends tell me otherwise so I guess I am. I'm also Japanese so I must be polite. That means I'm polite-sarcastic. I just invented a new word. Congrats to me!)

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
I love Queen, songs from musicals, and a bunch of artists from Japan.
MOVIE
Comedy, Romance and Mystery is what I prefer. Do not like horror movies. Too scary. Cannot go to sleep at night. So if you want to see me scream till sunrise, let's watch it together.
BOOKS
There are many many many spectacular Japanese authors. Can't wait to tell you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, I accidentally pushed my sister into the river. She started crying. At the riverbed, a bunch of salmon were chilling out. They got startled and swam away. I felt sorry and apologized to the salmon.
(Me and my sister are good right now. Although she still seems to hold a grudge about that, we end up laughing every time. Glad to have a sister like her.)
Teach, Learn, Share
These are the things I can teach/share.
