About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To apply to a Library Masters program (and get in).

ABOUT ME

I totally have wanderlust. I love traveling.

I do Food Not Bombs (http://foodnotbombs.h-a-z.org/), I really like cooking and baking.

I like cycling a lot. I've cycled from Vancouver to Victoria and Bellingham (on separate occasions), and all the way from Vancouver down to Portland, Oregon for the 2009 Zine Symposium.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like comic books a lot.

I review zines and minicomics on my site: http://365zines.blogspot.com/
I also write for The Beat: http://www.comicsbeat.com/

I also volunteer at the Anchor Archive Zine Library, which you should check out if you're in Halifax: http://www.robertsstreet.org/

I listen to a lot of electronic music, but I also enjoy punk, ska, rock, indie hip hop (I've gotten really into this), lindy hop/swing, and lots of other stuff.

My taste in movies is terrible, and I usually just watch cartoons or things with virtual reality or people punching each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun rise over an active volcano in Indonesia.
Spending a day hiking along the great wall of China and seeing maybe 6 people.
Cycling around the ruins of Angkor Wat.
Cycling from Vancouver, BC, to Portland, Oregon, for the Zine Symposium.
The Parthenon in Athens at dawn.
Walking down alleys in Venice when there was nobody else around.
