Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I ask for a couch:
I would like to get to know more about a place by meeting the locals! Meeting or talking with local people would make our trip much more enjoyable and memorable.

When I host someone:
I met a lot of nice and kind people through travelling. I had many wonderful, amazing, happy, exciting experiences. I cannot pay them back, but I can do the same to someone. I would like to host people who will travel to my hometown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I joined an international exchange program "the Ship for World Youth" sponsored by Cabinet Office of Japan. We sailed to India and Sri Lanka by cruise ship for a month with 260 people from 13 countries around the world. No internet, no phone, but just face-to-face communication with lots of cultural differences, which helped us deepen mutual understanding.
