About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having been hosted by lots of wonderful people in South America, I would like to give a little back and offer my sofa in London. I live in a big house (7-10 people) in Streatham Hill, near Brixton. We have a sofa and other things to sleep on. We like to cook and eat together and share big meals together in the evenings. I work Mon - Friday but (9 - 6ish) but outside of this I have time to share.

ABOUT ME
I am friendly and laid back, I get on with almost anyone. I am curious and love to learn. I love reading, cooking, and talking about things, as well as listening to music and going to festivals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like films with nice photography that make you think, for instance recently i enjoyed Talk to Her, by Almodovar, and Paris, Texas, which has an amazing soundtrack by Ry Cooder. Some favourite directors are Kubrick and Coen Brothers. Musically my favourite genres are probably jazz (Hancock, Bill Evans, Getz), rocksteady (congos, culture, Prince far I), some folk, especially the lyricists (Dylan, Gil-Scott Heron..). With books, to hard to say a favourite but some writers I loved are Garcia-Marquez, Nabakov, Joyce, Proust. Also non-fiction which tells me things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped to run a small music festival in the Bulgarian mountains where we watched the sun rise from above the clouds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about all the things I'm interested in- politics, books, films, culture, all sorts, especially with a glass... I learned some spanish whilst away and enjoy the chance to practice more.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendly company, cooking and generally helping out, English practice (if desired), good conversation!
