About Me

"The good old days, that we will wish back in ten years, are now.“ (Peter Ustinov)

I love memories, but even more I love the here and now when I travel - and meet people. Feeling home on the other side of the world is what makes Couchsurfing unique to me. The chance of getting a glimpse into another life. And maybe understanding life a bit better.

PS: I've released my first short documentary this year (w English subtitles). If you're into docs: https://youtu.be/Gqky5kl2lSI

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Classics and 2000s (the time before the endless pre- and sequels) like Magnolia, 25th Hour, The Usual Suspects, Lord of War, Thank You For Smoking, Lost in Translation, Fight Club, Coffee and Cigarettes, Night on Earth, Annie Hall, Big Lebowski.

Non-fiction, world literature (Franz Kafka, Stanislav Lem, Max Frisch, Maxim Biller),

I love music! HipHop nerd. Apart from this eclectic taste. Being clueless but enjoy jazz, funk, soul, french filter house, electro swing, 80s, rock'n'roll and much more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organizing a poetry slam (a live poetry reading) on a Currywurst stand in Berlin; having a rap gig in a former synagogue; passing a Russian tank checkpoint in a country that doesn't exist (Transnistria); trying to disrupt a political party; receiving delicious Sushi from a Shinkanzen miniature train in Tokio; winning a film award for my first short doc (I have terrible memory and use this as backup place, pardon!)

Teach, Learn, Share

showing my city to you, insights into how to take good pictures, how to speak in public, how to freestyle, how to beatbox, how to make a doc

What I Can Share with Hosts

My serious active listening game! Curiosity! How to mix some really nice non-alcoholic drinks. Having a music jam session together.
