About Me

Born and breed in New Zealand! Scientist - Biologist researching mosquitoes! I live for the outdoors and feel most in my element when I am surrounded by nature, whether that be rock climbing, snowboarding, running or doing yoga to name a few.

Couchsurfing goal: meeting new people and exploring different cultures whilst seeing another part of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from all around the world and explore their culture!

I firmly believe in the philosophy that meeting people and sharing your story will make the world a better, more compassionate and happier place to live in.

Interests

I love any type of sport; Table Tennis, Snowboarding, Running, Hiking, Yoga and anything to do with getting outside and having fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy reading, memorable authors in particular include: Robert Pullman, Dan Brown, Stephen King, George Orwell, and Dr Zeus!

British (IT Crowd, Black Books) and American humour (How I met your Mother, The Office) are great as well!

Big fan of NZ films! Lord of the Rings, Flight of the Conchords, What we do in the shadows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered at a orphanage in Philippines when I visited there in 2013. Was a awesome experience and realised how privileged my life has been!

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I could teach you about:

* NZ Culture and way of life (Including many Flight of the Conchords jokes!)
* Pacific Islands - I have explored these islands extensively.
* Scuba diving experiences! I have dived in the Philippines and Bali.
* Mosquitoes!! I completed my thesis on the mosquitoes of Tonga, so I know lots about these insects!
* Sign language (I have completed a sign language course)
* Technical subjects: Biology (Entomology, Ecology), Geography (GIS, human and physical geography), Statistics (R, multivariate statistics).
