About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive university. Move to Sweden

ABOUT ME

How to say it all! I'm Tom, I'm currently studying Biology at UEA in Norwich, UK. It's a beautiful city, with so much History and more pubs than any one man could possibly need (the traditional saying is "a church for every week and a pub for every day"). The motorbike has been retired in favour of a bicycle, but I got over three and a half thousand miles of the nicest places in Europe on it first. When I'm not studying, biking, drinking or being a general geek, I can usually be found shooting up some foam in my garden (AKA Archery).

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know where I'm going yet, but I want to be happy on the way

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Staying with locals seems to me to be the best way to truly experience a culture, especially with such a limited amount of time in each city. Now I've been travelling, I'd love to meet and host travellers when possible as a thank you for an unforgettable experience

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with many lovely people throughout Europe, and met a few of the Norwich couchsurfers too

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, my only criteria is that pleasing to my ears! At the moment, mostly symphonic metal, jazz, classical, electronica and industrial. I'm a big fan of classic comedy and epic fantasy on the screen, and love a good, thick space opera on paper.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looking over the valley in the morning at Elephants from the Olifants camp in Kruger, Africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm no expert on any particular subject, but I could teach you some ballroom or latin dancing, and I'm very good with English (linguistically)

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
