Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go backpacking for the first time
ABOUT ME
I would describe myself as adventurous, fantastic, and inquisitive.
My being on CouchSurfing should go some ways to show my adventurous spirit.
I'm fantastic not because I consider myself extraordinary, but because I can be very imaginative.
I like knowing about the world around me and figuring out how it all works and comes together.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live by the maxim "Conquer the angry man with love."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been to a few CS events, have some CS friends, and helped show some surfers around.
Interests
Brutus, my bike, is one of my most prized possessions. We are both roughly the same age and have been together since I purchased him in Philly back in '07. He's currently out of commission because he needs a needs a new rear rim.
I have spent this summer learning all I can about backpacking in preparation for a four day trip Cody and I will be taking in mid August. Hopefully it won't be our last.
I have a fondness for little animals, especially dogs and red pandas. Cody actually adopted a red panda in my name for my 23rd birthday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling through Italy I found myself on the Ponte Vecchio at night. There was a man wandering up and down the bridge playing a guitar and singing. A young man calls him over to serenade his girlfriend. The young man goes down on one knee and pulls out a small box and opens it. All eyes are on the couple as his girlfriend stats crying and becomes his fiancee.
Another fun experience I had was exploring the ruins of Coba and zip-lining over the rain forest in the Yucatan.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to share cultures through food.
