ABOUT ME

I've lived in Toronto for 18 years, San Francisco for 3 years, and Seoul, South Korea for 2 years. I'm always looking to make new friends :). I would describe myself as halfway between a Westerner and an Asian. Having lived in Korea for 2 years, I carry alot of Asian influence in my life, but I have friends from all countries, having grown up in multicultural cities like Toronto and San Francisco.

I have light brown eyes, and am fairly tall and skinny. I am not shy, but am generally more of a listener than a talker. I speak three languages, English natively, and Korean and Chinese conversationally.

I like meeting people, but I had bad experiences with bedbugs before. Please make sure you do not have any bedbugs on your luggage or clothing! Bedbugs usually come from North America or Europe so be aware of that.

Interests

I'm a software engineer working in San Francisco. I also study Korean in my free time.In addition to my day job coding stuff, I'm a musician as well. I can sing, and play piano and guitar. I like audio and video production. I also enjoy gaming, anime, talking about history, politics, economics, business and tech.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy Harry Potter, love watching comedies, sci-fi, romance, action and animated films. I enjoy classic American cinema as well. I like all kinds of music, anything from Beatles to Green Day to Beethoven to John Mayer. Korean food and Chinese food are my favorites :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in 북한산 in South Korea, me and friend were chased by a mountain lion which we found at a temple and we were running down rocks and hills not knowing how far we were going. It was fun :)

I can teach English, Chinese, Korean or Guitar or programming :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a couch that they can sleep on. PLEASE READ: If you are a couple, then please do not message me about hosting you. This is just my personal preference, but if you are traveling with someone you love or a significant other, then spending that time in a stranger's room is maybe not the best idea. I would prefer people who are single, or with friends.
