About Me

Hi! I'm Toni. I'm 25 years old and I am currently finishing my master's degree in Journalism and Literature. I've been studying for so many years and I want to explore the world now that I'll be free. I like reading and writing, playing guitar, the strategic games, going to the cinema and, of course, traveling. For so many years, I didn't have had the opportunity of doing a great travel, but now I am finally able to do it, and I will enjoy it. For sure. Maybe you can help me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came in Couchsurfing because I think it's the best way to travel all over the world and find people looking for the same things as I do. I can't wait for the moment I meet new people from different countries with so many different experiences! I want to know how the real trip goes, and the better way is meeting lots of new companions on th way.

Interests

I love reading, writing and playing the guitar. I like so much traveling, of course, and also the strategic games, the journalism and the social sciences. Maybe here, the most important thing to say is that I love discovering the cities from the point of view of the native, not as a regular tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love most of the rock classics: AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Metallica. I am so much interested in jazz and blues too, but in the end I love all the music that comes from the heart, not from the wallet. I have lots of favourite movies, as well as books, so it's very difficult to me to choose one upon the others. Perhaps, one of my favourite fiction books is "Los detectives salvajes" (Roberto Bolaño) or "1984" (George Orwell). In non-fiction, there's also lots, as "Chavs" (Owen Jones) or "On the road" (Jack Kerouac). There's movies as "Requiem for a dream" or "Into the wild" that meant a deep shock for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really didn't have lots of anecdotes of my life because I have never done really amazing things, but I remember walking for almost 180 kms in 5 days with four friends, when I was 19, from my city; knowing almost anything of the places we were going and how we were going to sleep and were we were going to stop, sleeping in the middle of nowhere and walking for hours without a drop of water in the middle of the spanish summer. I also have walked the whole spanish Camino de Santiago. 840 kms in 33 days. That was nice too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some few things to teach, all my experience to share and everything to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I like cooking, but I am horrible doing spanish ommelette. Sorry guys :( I can play the guitar for a while, and share every think I have, because people say I am a good chatter. I could also tell you stories, if it's ok. Of course, I can also share with you anything you want to know about spanish and catalan society. In the end, I think the best in these cases is to improvise!

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Italy, Spain, Tunisia
