Josh and I are travelling until early January 2020. We have done some workaways and stayed in hostels and with family so far.

I am aerial and fire teacher/performer. Most of my time is spent upside down spinning on an aerial hoop. I am very interested in storytelling in performance and illustration - recently I have begun to focus on my own creations instead of corporate entertainment (which can bring in money but is not inspiring) and sustainable fashion and sewing.

Josh is an Industrial Designer and 3D Modeler and has been working at festivals building and designing stages and art installations. He is very interested in sustainable materials and design and plans to incorporate it into the festival industry. Aside from design, he is also interested in electronic music production.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing and Workaway are really great ways to travel, instead of staying at hostels and hotels. We would rather meet local people and experience new cultures properly.
When we are back in South Africa we would like to be able to offer fellow travelers a similar experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have flown over the Tankwa Karoo as an aerialist hanging off a balloon for a performance art piece - this was a magical experience and it introduced me to an interesting group of performers who I now consider family!
