About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I've hosted a lot of people in my day. Now, I'm newly married and want to show my wife the wonder of travel and Couchsurfing.
ABOUT ME
Well, then we wouldn't have anything to talk about over a beer, would we? Just kidding, I actually don't drink nearly as much as I used to in my younger days. I'm an easy-going guy who doesn't take himself too seriously and loves to be spontaneous. I'm addicted to new experiences, new food and new cultures. I'm fascinated by all things technological, but I also love to read (I read 2-3 books a month, both fiction and non-fiction). Most of the time I'm a goofball, but I also have a very serious side and love to talk politics or culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Every single one of us was created from a star. Our only limitation is our own mind, so travel is a way to expand your horizons and show us what people are capable of.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's been about eight years in CS now and I love it. I love to meet up with travelers for a meal or a drink and love to see them enjoy something that I know they probably would not have enjoyed on their own. Although to be honest, recently I feel like CS is not what it used to be. It's now dominated by tourists just looking for a free place to stay. So I want to slowly turn this around by being the traveler that I wish all my CS surfers - someone sincerely looking to connect with their host and share experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I lost my soul sometime back in the early 90's after I passed out on someone's couch. When I woke up in the morning, it was gone. I think it fell between the cushions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've dangled 100m above the ground on a rope, abseiling from the top of the Euromast Tower in Rotterdam. I've floated in a hot air balloon over the hauntingly beautiful landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey. I've explored the ethereal kelp forests in California, while scuba diving with baby sea lions. I've watched amazing sunrises from two volcanoes - Fuji in Japan and Batur in Indonesia. I've raced through the deserts of Death Valley, California at over 230kph. I've dived with manta rays in Bali.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you're having any technical problems with your computer or gadgets, maybe I could fix it! I'm pretty good with technology, web design, etc. And of course, if you host us then you will always have a place to stay in beautiful Bali, Indonesia!
