ABOUT ME

I grew up in a cultural clash inheriting the timid, cautious yet diligent and persevering features of the Far East (Vietnam) and the more lax, individual-centered and open-minded qualities of Europe. At least that's how I see the big picture (must be biased).

PHILOSOPHY

Not quite a philosophy, but reflects partly on how I think. A quote from Nassim Nicholas Taleb (author of the book Black Swan):

"I don't particularly care about the usual. If you want to get an idea of a friend's temperament, ethics, and personal elegance, you need to look at him under the tests of severe circumstances, not under the regular rosy glow of daily life. Can you assess the danger a criminal poses by examining only what he does on an ordinary day? Can we understand health without considering wild diseases and epidemics? Indeed the normal is often irrelevant."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love listening to others' interests and passion and am more than glad to share mines if asked for. For me Night strolls are the essence of unvisited places and I immerse myself in the night and the company I happen to enjoy.

I had cross-traveled the S-shaped country of Vietnam by car. Although it was not me planning the trip, I still felt grateful to have been brought along.
