ABOUT ME

Hey I'm Ton, I am a friendly, calm, nature loving person who likes to discover new places in the world. I’m an organic farmer and run a organic farm together with my parents. We do rearing for organic laying hens and we have organic agriculture. In winter I do some forestry work like marking trees that can be harvested for sustainable wood production, no clear cutts.
I love to do outdoor activities like for example mountainbiking, hiking. I like to meet new people from all over the world to exchange travel- and life experience and learn about other cultures

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed at different places in Canada. I also hosted people at my home.
I like to host people who visit the Netherlands and show them where I live and what I do, give them more information about The Netherlands, share travel stories and have good times

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Till now I only have good Couchsurfing experiences, I stayed at five different adresses on my roundtrip in Canada. I got local information about interesting things in Canada to visit, shared stories about travelling, worked on a few organic farms and learnt more about Canada. I met some nice people and had good times during the stay. Also the hosting experience was nice, it is nice to show people around en talk about their life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people about the culture of the Netherlands, the organic farm I work on and show the surroundings where I live. I can also teach people about organic farming, (agro)forestry and tree,- animal,- and plant species. I like to learn more about other countries, cultures and learn different interesting skills. I like to share travel stories and share the place where I live and involve people in my life. My parents can teach people about organic agriculture too. It is also possible to work on the farm during the stay if you are interested
