About Me
Artist Tony Curry is on the path to establishing himself as one of South Florida’s most vibrant, artistic talents. A New York native with American and Brazilian roots, Curry finds inspiration in cutting edge Fashion, Art and Design. He has most recently exhibited at Art Basel Miami Beach and made the debut of his newest collection of work titled:
"The Proposal" Released on St. Valentine’s Day Feb 14, 2015 at 1826 Restaurant & Lounge in Miami Beach Florida.
The limited edition hand grenade sculpture series titled: "The Proposal" is a dichotomy of self-expression. A semblance of the male psyche that has always been at war with himself yields to the overpowering heart-felt appeal of true love.
"Now is the Time for a New Level of Surrealism"
Self-proclaimed as a Fashion Surrealist he is best known for his painting titled "American Dream" depicting a breathtaking female model draped in the iconic American flag wearing nothing more than a pair of red-soled Christian Louboutin high heels.
"I call my style Fashion Surrealism. Expressing imaginative dreams and visions tied to fashion, culture and modern design free from conscious rational control. I enjoy the use of blending black and white with color, making the emphasis of meaning immediately stand out to the observer. My focus is to express the secret narrative potential of images and the associative power of silent language within the boundaries of each work of art". - Tony Curry
Curry has immersed himself into South Florida's art and cultural scene, actively participating in local community events.
