About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To unite the world. Philosophically, Creatively, Spiritually, Rhythmically, and above all, Musically.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fairly easy going guy. I enjoy having lengthy conversations with brand new people, because difficult conversations are worth having. I am a sound sleeper, I didn't wake up one night when the christmas tree at my house fell down in the middle of the night. The whole rest of the family woke up, but I slept till Christmas. I love to eat a good breakfast, eggs first thing in the morning (and I also enjoy cooking in bulk for a whole household (hint, I will cook you breakfast)). I'm fascinated that couch surfing can still exist in such a turbulent world, and I'm grateful for that, because people should trust each other. Some exceptions to that, but we all figure that out on our own. I look forward to meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life by trying to make the people around me better, and trying to be bettered by the people around me. We are all here to improve our situation, and the situation of the planet and people around us. Hard shit gets in the way, but we just have to keep trying. That's all anybody can ask and receive every time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rock, bla bla bla, Frank Zappa, Stravinsky, Maceo Parker, John Coltrane (makes me cry), David Mayfield, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, The Graduate, any campy 70's teen flick, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Stranger in a Strange Land, 1984, An Abyss of Light, The Name of the Wind, Carl Hiassen books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a concert at Red Rocks with Etta James opening, Al Green next, and B.B. King as the headliner. I cried my eyes out, it was the first time live music ever made me cry (but not the last). I thought I was lucky to have seen the King live, but sadly it was Etta who died several years later, and I just saw B.B. King for the second time last year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an expert at music theory, whether it be sight-reading, analyzing (on paper or aurally), or writing. I'm also a great improviser, and I think I'm very good at teaching all of the above skills. I believe I'm good at teaching people how to listen to each other and compromise, but I know there's always room for improvement there. I'm also good at meditation, and focusing on one thing at a time. I can unlearn a person's disposition to multi-tasking, if you'd like to.
I'd love to learn more about science, especially about nutritional science. There's so much conflicting information about what's good for your body, I don't really know what to believe. I also would like to learn as much as possible about every religion that has ever existed in the world.
