Overview
About Me
I am a detail oriented, outgoing, positive person and I find myself wanting to travel more and more in my thirties and enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. I like to consider my self an empath, and like to put myself in positive environments, or try and bring positivity with me for the better.
I'm really big on helping others, and self sufficiency. I grow marijuana wholesale in the state of Oregon for a living and have sold a business in the past and spent six years in the military as an aircraft mechanic. I took this year off school to focus on my marijuana business, but plan to return next year for my senior year.
I really like to cook a lot; it helps me assert myself creatively and focus on kinesthetic learning. I have a strong passion for riding bicycles and lifting weights since a young age. I love swimming, flying, and motorcycle riding. I enjoy taking calculated risks for adventure sakes but still consider myself a cautious person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been using AirBnb a lot recently because I've gotten great reviews, it's fairly inexpensive, and it is fairly popular. However, I really feel like Couchsurfing has it's merits and I'd like to make a good impression on the community here like I have for AirBnb.
I believe that I was taught well by my parents on how to be a proper guest in one's home. Simply clean up after yourself, be polite, and don't overstay your welcome, for starters. I truly think it is a shame that people are geographically bound simply due to financial restrictions. It is the way of the world it would seem, but I can help fight that with couch surfing. I'm also hoping that my love for cooking will earn me some points with whomever allows me to stay with them. :)
I think it would be really cool to stay with a local and buy some food at the grocery store and we can cook different meals on my dime. Typically when I am on vacation I don't spend much time at the place I am staying, except for the evenings- usually to cook, exercise, or relax from the long day I organized. I think that it is important as a Couchsurfer to reciprocate something to your host, especially if it is a longer stay. Food, help with chores, etc.
I've had a couch surfing profile for a while, but haven't actively pursued any vacations with it, and plan to change that now. So, I hope whomever hosts me for the first time will give me a chance! I'm an easy going person and would love to make a new friend. Also, I just planned a trip to Hawaii for October! Hopefully a nice local will give me a chance!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of 90's alternative. I am fairly open with the music that I like, but i to tend to gravitate towards some kind of rock, especially if i am working out.
I have a bias spot in my heart for movies where there is a hero (sci-fi preferred) that has to rise up and save someone or something. The journey to becoming a hero has always had a soft spot in my heart.
I don't read novels; however, I do read science and tech articles, as well as textbooks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I patched a motorcycle tire on the highway with a golf tee, a leather patch, and packaging tape, which took me all the way from San diego to Oceanside in California.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do not like paying people to do things that I can do. Because of this I have a lot of basic knowledge about many things from fixing things in a house, to cars, to computers, plumbing, etc. I consider myself a generous person when I have the means to do so. I absolutely love to learn, which is why i am aspiring to get into medical school after my bachelors.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, clean, carry on an intelligent conversation, and live in a minimal space. I'd like to think that my presence is unobtrusive, and I can adapt to almost any situation. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and I consider myself an observant person. Therefore, when I make a positive opinion about someone, I believe in it very heavily. I hope I can leave you feeling better about yourself for having shared your home, and maybe I can share with you a piece of the world that I love one day in return.
