About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To Learn Korean and Become the best English teacher in Korea
ABOUT ME
I moved to Korea in Februrary 2012 without knowing a word of Korean to teach English in the EPIK program. I requested to be put in a metropoliton city, so of course they sent me to the most rural part of Gyeongsan province, but it actually turned out fantastic. I travel to a different part of Korea every weekend (more often than not its Daegu), I absolutely love my students, I have great coworkers and Yoeng Doek is famous for Crab!
PHILOSOPHY
I always try to assume that life is or soon will be going great. Life is too short to be depressed or complain or to spend time hating or disliking people.
In other words, I try not to let reality make me too sad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined couch surfing after a friend introduced me to a girl he met via couch surfing, and since she seemed to be such a fantastic individual I wanted to see what the rest of the community had to offer.
I have yet to host anyone, but they are more than welcome to come and visit. It would be a nice relaxing Holiday. There isn't all that much to do in Yoeng Doek, but if the sun is shining we have some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Korea.
Interests
I am interested in pretty much everything. I constantly consume information because I can't stand that there are things I don't know about.
My primary interest as such, is learning. Right now, being in Korea, I am focusing much of my attention on learning the korean language. If you know Korean and you want to help me out, send me a message! I could always use another korean pen-pal to talk to.

Music, Movies, and Books
Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, Casablanca, V For Vendetta, Henry V, shakespeare
For television, Community and the Big Bang theory are two of the funniest things on television.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
All of life amazes me, but I am still looking for that thing in life that will amaze me most. I know it will happen eventually, I just haven't seen it yet.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I said, I love to learn. I have a working understanding of quantum mechanics, I understand geopolitics and global economics at the upper intermediate level, and when it comes to American History (specifically American influence in 20th century) I am very well informed.
Also, as I said I am an English teacher, so I understand the english language and english grammer fairly well.
Since all of that is boring to most people though, I would rather learn from you. Really, anything you know I would like to add to my knowledge base.
Countries I’ve Visited
