ABOUT ME

I am from haunting Erhu and shimmering swords.
From translucent silk and green tea.

I am from acres of thousands miles away,
(deep valleys of idyllic luxuriant mountains)

I am from the jade,
Whose gloss rejuvenates my soul,
Magnificent bright aquamarine.

I am from double cooked pork and jet-black hair,
From the Formless(wuxing) and Mandate of Heaven(tianming),

I am from the mediators
And the eremitic herb-collecting Daoists

I am from what Lao-tzu called,
The Tao nourishes not by forcing.

From Great Grandpa who went to the capital to appeal for the nation’s reform,
And my Chinese ancestors who rose from commoner to emperor
To restore the happiness and prosperity beyond the Four Seas.

From the white snake that my Great (times more than 50) Grandpa cut off to
sieze control of the Middle Kingdom.
And the custom of Han dynasty made everything of my used to be peasant grandpa.

The Forbidden Palace full of sparking treasures,
Protecting them the staunch grey “Great Wall” .
It could not bear to give way.

The fine calligraphy hanging on the wall to make
my room look numinous.

I am from the most deep running,
very suave and calm,
until the day I revive.
