ABOUT ME

Nothing interests me more than how other people live. I think that one of the best ways to get to know someone is to share a meal with them and I've had some great meals while surfing. I have traveled the U.S. and the world both for work and pleasure and have seen many different places in different lights. For the time being I want to be able to share my hometown and why I have grown to love it so dearly. Also, I want to do some traveling of my own and scratch an itch I've had for years to learn about other cultures. I like to read (but only when my roommates aren't home) and I really don't like to wear socks or shoes (although the hippie culture is not something which I can closely identify with). Oh, I like to play disc golf quite a bit as well...

Observe and absorb. If you're not interested in what you're doing, you're wasting your time.

I've done some surfing but haven't hosted yet, although I'd like to once I get back home and get settled back in.

Interests

Food, drink, and toned-down revelry. I am completely enamored with all types of whiskey as well as almost any type of cured meat. I'll also eat vegetables and drink other things.

John Steinbeck and Hunter S. Thompson are a couple of my favorite authors to read lately.

I like all music except for polka, although I find myself enjoying it at Oktoberfest every year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to turn your pants into a flotation device.

I want to learn as many of the subtleties of the Spanish language as possible (any other languages would also be welcome).
