About Me

Hi! I'm from Sydney and love music, meeting new people and travelling. I do research in quantum physics, I am warm and friendly and I pride myself on being conscientious and tidy. I look forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best thing about travelling somewhere is the people. Scenery and tourist attractions are always memorable but I find it so valuable to learn and experience how these things, the place itself and the place's history shaped the current people and culture. What better way to understand this than by being hosted by a welcoming local, who is used to seeing different world-views from the thoughts and experiences of other travellers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I reckon I’ll tell you in person things I’ve done and you can be the judge of whether they’re amazing or not XD in the meantime, here’s something that amazed me. After a long, hot day out in the desert getting taught by Warlpiri elders how to dig for honeyants in Yuendumu, an Aboriginal community in the NT, I volunteered to stay behind because we couldn‘t all fit in the car back in one trip. I hunkered down in a shady spot to shelter from the sun, hoping I wouldn’t get burnt. Suddenly, my worries were no more as the heavens opened and rain started pouring down, bringing the desert to life and an amazing sense of relief. Turns out even after the hottest day in the middle of the desert, the wet season in the NT likes to surprise you with the most uplifting of downpours.
