Hace unos meses dejé mi trabajo como ingeniero mecánico en el ferrocarril de Inglaterra para viajar de nuevo los américas con unos amigos. No tengo plan más que viajar y conocer nuevos lugares bonitos y amigos amables. Tambien ya que que estoy en Sudamérica me gustaría mejorar mi español y aprender como bailar salsa (no sé si tiene sentido en español, pero en inglés se dice que tengo dos pies izquierdas).

Me gusta comer comidas nuevos y ricos. Mientras estoy aquí tengo un misión a encontrar las micheladas más ricos de las Américas.

Soy tipo tranquilo y amable. No tengo prisa para hacer nada. Si no tengo nada que hacer puede encontrarme callejeando sin rumbo, buscando rincones interesantes, o descansando en la librería con un buen café, intentando leer una novela en español.

No estoy el tipo que tiene una lista de países que quiero visitar. Me encanta viajar por Sudamérica y conocer bien los países y el region. Por eso he visitado el region cada año por el último 8 años, más que todos Colombia y Ecuador, y es cierto que regresaré en el futuro. O no sé, ya que no tengo futuro planeado, quizá aún viviré en este parte del mundo un día.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I go to a new place, I never want to just pass through. I want to get to know it. I want to make new friends with different perspectives to the ones I can meet at home and I want them to be friends for life. If we meet and get on well, we will meet again even if we are thousands of miles apart.

Cuando voy a un lugar nuevo, nunca quiero solo pasar a traves, quiero conocerlo. Quiero encontrar a nuevos amigos con perspectivas diferentes a los que la gente tiene aqui en mi patria y queiro que les quedan mis amigos por todo de mi vida y esperablemente vengan a mi pais un dia.

I am learning Spanish and I'm determined to get good at it!

I enjoy reading and am currently on mission to read as many novels in Spanish as possible.

I enjoy exploring new cuisines, finding and occasionally cooking delicious food and drinks. The more unique and interesting the better! I am currently obsessed with micheladas!

I also love spending time in nature whether it is mountains, jungles, coastlines or deserts.

I am educated as a mechanical engineer but am considering a career change to work in conservation and ecology. I haven't quite figured out how to make the move yet.

Couldn't possibly name just one. Skydiving, Ran the London Marathon, Volunteered as a teacher on the Galapagos islands, lived in Torun, Poland, for 6 months.
