ABOUT ME

I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and right now are studying abroad in a liberal arts college in Connecticut, US. I'm super open-minded about all sorts of fun things. Currently, I've been involved in dragon dance and lion dance club, university radio DJ program, local community services, outreach program of teaching local elementary/middle school students east asian cultures, etc., on and off campus. In addition, I love being immersed in different cultural and societal lifestyles by traveling and observing or by listening to all kinds of people sharing their amazing stories. I'm also really active and passionate about social issues, especially social justice and inequality. Since high school, I've been continuously involved in urban social housing program and services, and following related events and news worldwide closely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I joined a community services program called "ServeUp/Habitat Katrina" during my spring break this year, in which I helped to paint and renovate houses for poor people in New Orleans whose houses had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The moment when I saw these people's grateful faces after we as a group finished our task was absolutely melting and beyond description. Though exhausted and sun-burnt, I LOVED doing anything I could for the society.
