I'm an American who has been living in Japan for the past six years. I'm getting ready to go back to the States, but I want to travel as much as I can in the meantime! I love rock climbing and the outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing to share my slice of Japan with visitors. Now I'm hoping to meet locals in the areas I'm travelling to.

I love the outdoors. I'm passionate about rock climbing and I enjoy hiking too. I also like photography, and I like to cook.

My favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Pynchon, Haruki Murakami, China Mieville, and many others... I love to read. I haven't seen many movies in the last few years but I like to see new movies, especially movies from around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Japan for six years. Not so amazing on Couchsurfing, but it was pretty intimidating for me at first!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people Japanese, and I can share my love of rock climbing and photography. I want to learn new languages and see interesting things that aren't in the tourist guides.
