ABOUT ME

I have now spent half of my life in Taiwan and half in the US, with extended stays in Poland and Russia. I consider myself citizen of the world. When I return home from a trip, I plan for the next one. I got my PhD from UC Berkeley and now I teach Polish and Russian languages and literatures.

met several good friends through CouchSurfing in Germany and Poland and would love to continue doing so!

Intereses

I am a concert pianist and I love classical music. I go to concerts/operas regularly. I also love traveling, going to movies (mostly drama, foreign movies). I also like sports very much - I play tennis and swim (beginner level, but I am enjoying it!) regularly.

30-hour bus ride from Greece to Poland (probably won't do again lol)

waited for 8 hours on the Polish-Ukrainian border, in a bus full of smugglers!

I have been a teacher for many years and I love teaching music (playing the piano, theory and history) and foreign languages. I have taught Polish and Russian at universities and Chinese informally. I know several languages but am always interested in learning more!
