About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting and hosting people, knowing places, being a better person.

ABOUT ME

I could talk a bit about myself, but I may end up being inaccurate, so i think it's best to give my friends' opinion, which i agree upon:

"He might be a bit formal at a first glance, instead of the common-sense "Brazilian" way of informality and warmth. When it comes to being friends with new people, he's got a bit of a personal space of his own in the first moments. However, once he gets to know better someone - and it takes only one beer or coffee to do so -, he shows his talkative, easy-going and open-minded side."

That said, I love my job, therefore I can talk for hours about architecture, preservation of heritage sites, urban planning, social studies and, specially, politics - if you're interested in it, of course, otherwise, please warn me! lol. Also, because I work for the State's Heritage Dept., I get to learn and know a lot of São Paulo's city and state history, so I am always excited to teach, criticize, share my views on it.

Another reason for my passion in working inside the government is that I feel I can contribute for being "inside the system" and make it better for those who rely on it. :)

I have lived in California-USA, Zagreb-Croatia and Berlin-Germany, and traveled to several countries - and have no plans to stop any soon.

PHILOSOPHY

No man is an island. Therefore, my central pilar is that i am part of a society, thus i must contribute to making it a better place to live, be it through my job, my actions or my experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting members, surfing and meeting new people everywhere, sharing experiences and listening to people from different places of various backgrounds, and trying to learn from them.

Some of the best experiences in travelling happened in unexpected encounters during my usually rather well-planned and scheduled trips. They just add surprise and pleasure moments that no perfect-enough planned trips may predict.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has changed the way I travel and, in a larger way, some of my views on life, places and people - some of wich have become good friends of mine.

I have couchsurfed at quite a few places, and it has always been a great experience in every way: knowing people, where they live, where they come from, their opinions and visions about the world, life and society.

I'm looking forward to hosting people and couch surfing whenever and wherever again.
