ABOUT ME
Hey you:)

My name is Tobi and I am currently living in Amsterdam Beach (yes Amsterdam has a beach, no it`s not always cold haha), in a town called Zandvoort 30mins from the city centre. I grew up in Dresden, a beautiful historical city in the Eastern part of Germany, and I was a little kid when the wall came down and Germany re-united. I consider myself lucky to be born at that time as freedom of speech, of election, the possibility of travelling, even to work abroad, is something the generation of my parents did not have in Communism countries.
I love the idea of the European Union and I think apart of the negative impact globalization has, it also brought people together, generated jobs and enabled intercultural exchange. Travelling, getting to know new places and meeting new people is something wonderful, that’s why we are all on this awesome internet site called Couchsurfing. Sometimes, you feel a deeper connection with those new people knowing them only for some hours than with the people you were growing up with. Despite different languages, habits and traditions, I think that we humans often have the similiar humor, tastes and wishes in life.

I am an open-minded, positive, humorous person and my hobbies are travelling ( I used to commute 5 hours daily for work by train but I love train rides and it counted as working time :p), sports (work outs, Badminton, winter and water sports, football/soccer… but actually, there is so many good sports), events (Intercultural events, road trips, weekend getaways), reading (Novels, sagas), trying new things (new countries, bars, hobbies, recipes) and simply, hanging out with friends.
