About Me

CURRENT MISSION

we are walking barefoot all summer

ABOUT ME

After reading what I have originally written in this section in 2007 I thought wow, I have changed a lot. Or has just my view to myself changed?
Thus I think that it is hard to make an accurate description for yourself. Others might do that better, but only as long as they are really close and stay up do date.
So, come and experience "all about me" by yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

not too sure yet

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I fist started with just socializing and hosting from time to time and of course surfing during various trips I now try to show people the nice sides of Munich as I see it. Generally I try to 'balance' my hosting and surfing account. I also enjoy smaller and quieter CS events in my hometown. Not too big meetings or gatherings where you come as a stranger and leave as a stranger with some superficial aquaintances you made that night.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first contact with CS was during my time in Barcelona where I met lots of interesting people via CS and had great fun. Never had any bad experience. People are good by nature?

Music, Movies, and Books

Literature: Dostojewski, Puschkin and some other Russians; John Steinbeck and other first half of 20th century Americans; some other rather random books I can get my hands on
Music: Indie, Alternative and in general all stuff that makes me feel good while listening (examples for this would be JONATHAN RICHMAN or Gogol Bordello). I'm always open to new musical experiences.
And I love old black and white movies, trashy old B-movies and especially 60s or 70s crime movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding a freight train was one thing I always wanted to do and finally did than. But it was not exactly as in Jack London books for example

Teach, Learn, Share

hmmm, next to an interest in other people's culture or situation I might be able to share some cooking, German or Bavarian food, some international student dishes maybe as well.

Languages, I love doing language exchanges with people!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
