Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
cultivate dialogue, wilderness, voluntary cooperation... and friendly communities in the face of our not-so-friendly society.
ABOUT ME
Hello... I am Charlotte and I overuse ellipses!
You can probably learn plenty about me from all those other sections...?
But, some things I am, some of the time:
22
female
sometimes shy and quiet
opinionated but not stubborn (I hope)
rather anti-capitalist (or at least anti-excessive-accumulation)
a feminist
a treasure- and trash- hunter
a bike-rider
a pedestrian
a cook
indecisive
open to discussion
crafty
a coffee-drinker
a music listener and watcher
agnostic, but interested in and open to spirituality
PHILOSOPHY
I don't think there is really a point to life, so, I figure I might as well help out while I'm here.
I value community, and I value values. I also think what's "good" is a pretty relative concept, and thus think it's important to question such values.
Once I took a moral philosophy class. At the time I decided that I was a consequentialist... if that means anything to you! Whatever.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If I stay with you, I'll gladly participate by procuring and cooking food and helping out around the house or with other projects. Perhaps someday soon I will have a couch to share and return the favor!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the pleasure of living in a couple houses where other people invited couchsurfers into our midst frequently enough that I never felt the need to do so myself, but now I may be looking for a couch, so...
Oh! I actually do have a story. I first heard of Couchsurfing back in 2006 or so when my 10th grade social sci teacher brought a hypnotist spiritualist friend into our class to hypnotize my classmates, among other things. At the time I was quite impressed to hear he'd traveled all through south america and back using this weird, generous thing called "Couchsurfing.com"
