I have surfed and hosted a couple of times, with very positive experiences.

Interests

simple living, traveling, music, gardening, learning about wild edibles, bicycling, building community, finding out what "building community" means, dancing, circumventing "the system" (dumpster diving, growing food, experimenting with a gift economy), and having fun doing it all.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: breakin, slam, dancer in the dark, into the wild, little miss sunshine, man on wire

music: any really indulgent prog rock, like dream theater and planet x, nostalgic 90s grunge, also hella, joanna newsom, old modest mouse, bjork, the smiths, tool, anything musically interesting.

books: anything that will change my life, like the autobiography of malcolm x, evasion, expect resistance, you shall know our velocity, the way we eat, bitter music, omnivore's dilemma, deep economy, etc.

Biked from Kansas City to Rocky Mtn National Park, then climbed Long's Peak.

I'd be happy to share anything i know about gardening, music, percussion, simple living, bike repair, or anything else i know. I would like to know more about activism and how people have overcome challenges in their community.
