ABOUT ME

I love where I live. Like anywhere else, this place has it's own unique things to offer - and whether through staying in and cooking something up with fresh seasonal food - or going out to some of the favorite haunts, I love to show Monterey off. I'm a busy body by choice so won't always be around to join, but at the very least I can point you in all the right directions.

My roomie, Victor (see friends on my profile) is also a couchsurfer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just paying it forward so that my CS experiences on the horizon are just as good.... So far it's been a really great experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many stories to tell - all my CS experiences have been positive ones. We've had disasters in the kitchen, shared drinks at the favorite pub, I've introduced local food to travelers, learned to ride motorcycles, ran half marathons, had movie marathons, drove a new friend to Big Sur to get him started on a cross country hike....

兴趣

I like all things outdoors & trying new things. There's a so-so surfing spot that I can walk to from my apartment. I'm definitely a foodie, so I love showing off the places here or making a mess in my own kitchen. Love photography, surfing, hiking...

My host-ees know that I have a bundle of 100+ movies for our enjoyment - but I have no cable or basic TV. Lots of books here too - and I always keep a few interesting magazines handy. Always a few guitars available for trusted surfers.

Camping at the foot of Mont Blanc, wandering Cinque Terra, Grasse and French Riviera, lots of rural Germany. Sailed the Cyclades in July 2007. Service project in Guatemala in 2008. Cabo Pulmo in 2010 to snorkel and generally get lost. Belize and Guate in 2011. Hopefully Peru in 2012.

I used to teach swing dancing, so there's that. I coach marathoners, I'd like to think I can get you at least to stand up on a surfboard... always looking for a partner for hitting the road with cameras.
