ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Riga, Latvia; I enjoy traveling, seeing new places and meeting new faces.
Love the sea and also big cities. I make my daily commutes to work or school on a bike, but I'm also an avid runner.
I'd like to believe that I'm an open minded person that's easy to get along with and fun to be around.
Oh, and I have a cat if it means anything to you.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess that only couple of years ago I realized that life is short and you have to make it last, so now I'm enjoying it day by day and I'm trying to be more open to everything and everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We (me and my girlfriend who is working abroad right now and the cat) have a small flat in the suburbs of Riga and depending on availability we might be able to host you. If not, then I'm open to showing you around and sharing some inside info about Riga and Latvia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was cool enough and I'm more than willing to continue.

Interests

Probably more than I can recall, but the main ones would have to include arts, sports and definitely travel. While travel is quite self-evident, then by arts I mean almost all forms of expression - I do take pictures with my old Nikon and I used to draw, I sing in a choir, but once upon a time I also played the drums. Sometimes I write something, but haven't published anything. Yet.
For now, reading suits me just fine.
Growing up I did quite a few sports including basketball, gymnastics, tennis, swimming etc. But what stayed was good old running and I can proudly say that as of 2012 I'm a marathoner*. Nevertheless I'll be glad to shoot some hoops if the weather permits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides running a marathon the most amazing thing was an 18 day trip around Europe where I also reached Africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play chess, juggle and survive in various conditions. In turn you could teach me to play the harmonica.
