ABOUT ME

So, here is all about me... I had a personal statement here but after so many years of leaving it as it is, I think an update is needed. Well, still a lucky happy go type of person, who loves a good company, travelling, learning new things, exploring, reading, Spanish, cycling, living in London, having a cup of strong coffee in the morning- but has to be in the garden-spongebob, cookie monster, politics, cooking (for others not for myself), eating, drinking, istanbul, music, concerts, walking for hours, exhibitions, cats, dogs, cheesy Turkish Soap Operas, London Underground, trains in general, rain, thunderstorms, sea, fish (yum!), road signs, diversity, having mexican food with french friends in London and so on.... I can make the list longer but I think you got the idea!
To sum up, a guy from Turkey who ended up in the UK by chance and (still) enjoying his time! Missing his more "travel oriented" times but I am getting there again!! Let's meet and chat over a drink!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It all started when my friend wasn't available to host someone as she was quite busy because of her final exams. Then I accepted to host that person and there I go..So I am a pretty old CSer- since 2006.. That's 12 years so far.. Wow!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over tha past 12 years, I have met amazing people from many different places. Since I moved to London, I haven't been as active as I would have liked to be. But hey, that doesn't mean that I am out of the fun now!
I learnt a lot from my hosts and guests. With some, I am still very good friends, for others it was fun times and we lost contact. But all left very good memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love alternative movies, mainly European ones that is made with low budget. So if you know a movie where there are scenes with no talk but lots of looking, walking, no action and you think people would find it boring, let me know because that's my type!

My music taste is changing rapidly. I am much more open minded than I used to be. I am so keen on improving my knowledge in electronic music.

I love reading all sorts but last book I read and enjoyed is from Etgar Keret: bus driver who wants to be the god. I am also a keen reader of Orhan Pamuk..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working for Greenpeace for a while and taking part in their actions.
Moving to the Philippines and taking this decision in 15 days.
Studying Human Rights after engineering and marketing.
Deciding to stay in the UK for many years!
