ABOUT ME

Hello! I am an American student spending a few months in Europe. I'm fun, outgoing, and basically want to see and do everything Europe has to offer! I'm adventurous and more interested in experiencing things rather than just seeing things. I love museums and sightseeing, but at the same time, I really want to see the heart of a city and do things I might not ever have the chance to do again! I'm very open-minded and interested in meeting people all over the world. I love comparing ideas and learning something new from all of the people I meet. Europe has been good to me so far, and I hope to continue having wonderful experiences with incredible people across the continent.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life as a student. Every single day brings a new opportunity to learn and grow as a person, so I always try to stay open-minded and listen more than speak. I cannot describe the countless things I've learned from the incredible people in my life, and I hope to always continue doing so. There is always someone out there that is wiser, smarter, more experienced, etc., so I believe you should always take advantage of the chance to learn.

I'm new to couch surfing, but I'd love to stay at someone's place or meet up with anyone on their travels through Berlin.

Interests

I honestly love wondering around. I could walk through a city for hours with no agenda, just watching the local people and finding interesting aspects of the city. When I'm not traveling, I enjoy reading and listening to music. I also love sports--playing and watching. I spend the majority of my time just hanging out with my friends though, laughing, being silly, and enjoying life!

Books--countless! A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ethan Fromme, 100 years of solitude, Man's Search For Meaning--you name it, and if it's an English language book, chances are I've read it or will read it if you think I should!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I attended carnival in Viareggio, Italy. I have never seen a celebration so incredible. The thousands of people smiling and laughing through the streets as giant floats paraded by! Music and excitement filled the air. It was absolutely amazing and one of the most fun experiences I've ever had!

I also love walking through Berlin and stumbling upon an old building scarred by shrapnel and bullet holes from WWII. I have never been to a city that carried its past so strongly before, so every moment I spend in Berlin is amazing. It really puts life in perspective and makes me appreciate living in Berlin even more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new things and telling people all about what I've learned. As a result, I'm full of fun facts! More importantly, I like to think that I look at things in a different way than most people, so I always have new ideas and good conversation to offer.
