About Me

Hi! My name is Tor and I'm travelling through Australia with my girlfriend Ane.

After working in a chocolate factory in Victoria for a while, we are now heading north to Queensland.

Our goal is to see as much as we can of the Australian nature and wildlife. We are both very into hiking and camping.

After 7 months in Australia, we still haven't surfed or seen much of the ocean, so we'd love to go to the beach and maybe do some snorkelling.

We also enjoy art and would love to visit local galleries. If you know of any places with live music or stand up comedy that would be cool as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet interesting people, see new places and experience more than just the typical tourist attractions.

Interests

I love to move around and like physical activities a lot. Hiking is my most recent addiction. I am terrible at surfing, but would love to learn more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I was raised on rock, punk and metal, but later became a huge hiphop-head. I like many genres. Doesn't matter if it's disco or techno, It's got to be funky. I like to collect vinyl records and find weird music nobody has heard before.

The last book I read was "The Long Hitch Home" by Jamie Maslin. It's the story of how he hitchhiked from Tasmania to London. It's a really interesting story about the joys and challenges of hitchhiking and the people he meets along the way. It also gives a lot of insight about the history and culture of the places he visits. Hands down best travel book I've read.

Currently reading: Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams
