About Me

I'm leaving soon for a five months trip on the camino, hence I won't be able to host someone during the next months.

Moin :)

I am Robert (30) and currently a mix of writer and labourer. During the season (April till October) I'm working in my hometown, while during the off-season (November till March), I'm heading out on journeys and write books about these. The next grand Tour will be a five months walk via the camino, starting in Marburg (Hesse).

My lifegoal is to be independent of money in all regards. I like to be self sufficiant, buy myself some good land, build my own log cabin/house on it, and grow a self sufficiency garden, what I'm basically already doing back home, during the season. Living off the grid and independent is what drives me :).

I did write a hiking guide book about Ireland, which was released just recently (May 2019), so if you want to go to Ireland yourself, ask me for advices :).
Aside that, I do write my own novel-series. The Genre is kind of an essayistic-tragedy or drama with Phylosophical, psychological and also socio-critical content :).

Philosophy:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

How I participate in couchsurfing:

I was able to be hosted by quite some people and was already a little guilty to not be able to myself, because for a long time, I was just absent from home and always on the move. Now, that I do have my own flat (even though just for a Single), I'm able to host max. 2 people (who should be couples, for they're sharing the couch).
I like to have people around me, even though I do also enjoy some good quality time on my own :). I'm a teamplayer but also pretty much independent on my way.

Interests

I love music, especially german Bands as ASP and Samsas Traum, which belong to my most favorites.
Additionally I'm a huge Manga and Anime fan with tons of titles of interest =). I also like to play Go and do gardening, writing and reading.
Hiking is my sepcial Hobby, from which I want to live later on. My next hike would be the E1 from the north cape in Norway, down to Palermo in Italy, all the way across Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Samsas Traum, ASP, Omnia, Faun, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, Soundtracks of Anime, many japanese artists (mainly Rock, and Metal, seldom J-Pop.
