About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Travel as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

I like to have fun and experience new things. I believe you should try everything once. When traveling I like to avoid chains and experience the local shops and restaurants. The first thing I do in any new city is to find a bar restaurant that seems my vibe, get a meal at the bar, and ask the bartender and locals sitting at the bar what's best about their city. Life's too short, I believe you should try to always be open to new experiences. I love when I end my day somewhere unexpected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing some time ago, but have yet to really utilize it. I'm embarking on a 3-4 month long road trip all over the U.S (August-November 2016) and hope to meet some cool people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of music. I've been working in music venues for 9 years now, and I love seeing small up and coming bands. I get into stints were a listen to different genres of music. Lately I'm jamming out to 90's music, punk, or reggae punk.

I enjoy most genres of movies, but usually I go for either comedy or action.

I love reading. I like fiction too, but usually I'm drawn to non-fiction books. It's another way to experience places you haven't had the chance to travel to yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I find ancient cultures fascinating, so Tulum was an amazing site to see.

Kyiv, Ukraine was incredible. It was probably the most out of my element I have been, since I dont speak any Russian whatsoever, and most people there speak no English.

Teach, Learn, Share

One thing I always am reminded of when traveling is that no matter where you go, people are people. Yes there are risks and dangers in travel, but there are always strangers that will look out for you as well. Always trust your gut. We are all just trying to get by on this big rotating rock we call home.

In traveling, I have learned about my own home city of Madison, WI by comparison. There are quite a few smaller music venues that attract many amazing lesser known acts. Madison has an amazing farmers market, and many restaurants take advantage by offering all organic locally grown food, along with local beef. Madison is also one of the most bike friendly cities in the U.S. If you stay in the downtown area, there is no need for a car.
