Interests

I bicycle for transportation and shopping. Bike touring and ski touring get me outdoors and I like being outdoors. Repairing stuff is my hobby. "Only an elk loves the outdoors more than a Norwegian and an elk has no choice."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the north of Kenya after having bicycled out of the Nairobi Airport only a week earlier I saw a van load of German tourists and remembered that I was white. The Kenyans had been so warm and friendly each day and evening that I felt completely at home. A vignette played out that was really cute near Lake Bogoria, a boy of about 11 years old was watching over his toddler little brother who was busily stalking the 14" tall antelope called dik dik. The slightly potbellied and loin clothed kid was armed with a scale model bow and arrow : ) If only a video team was there to capture that moment!
