About Me

Colorado transplant now living in Waco. After graduating from Baylor, I married a local. We love Central Texas and hope to stick around for a while! I love meeting new people and I love learning from their life and experiences and interests. I believe amazing experiences happen when food is involved, so if you want to cook me a local dish, I would be happy to return the favor.

We have our first baby on the way so unfortunately our guest bedroom is being transformed into a nursery. However, we hope to upsize houses soon and open our house back up to travelers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I fell in love with the idea of couchsurfing the minute I heard about it. My family has always opened our home to friends and strangers alike, and couchsurfing is a way to connect with people everywhere and hopefully make new friends! People have opened their home to me while I've traveled, so I want to reciprocate and share my home with those who need a place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could fill a book with a list of my favorite books, but a few of them include: Harry Potter, The Confessions of St. Augustine, The Lover's Dictionary, A Glass Castle, and In Cold Blood.

Currently reading "Lone Star: A History of Texas and the Texans" (because I just recently became a Texas resident)

If you're in need of new reading material, bring me a book and I'll give you one in return.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer after I graduated, a friend and I packed one backpack each and traveled through Europe for 6 weeks without any itinerary.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our coffee & tea bar is always stocked, wifi is free, and I've got shelves full of books for your browsing. We've got a great location so if time permits, I'd be happy to take you around town, or at the very least recommend a good restaurant. We do have wifi
