About Me
Talking to and meeting new people is my favorite part of traveling :) I started traveling a few years back and haven't been able to stop since, I guess I'm hooked on it now! My dream is to see the world and meet fantastic people along the journey. In the USA I was a youth tennis coach and loved my job. I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, USA and accepted a teaching position in Huercal-Overa, Spain. I moved to Motril, Spain for my second year of teaching and loved it. I have just moved to Phoenix, AZ and will be here studying for the next 3 years. I have no idea what the future holds for me, so I am trying to aprovechar each day and live it to the fullest while I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have met some amazing people through couchsurfing who have really helped me to see their cities in a way that didn't feel so toursity, and I am excited to be able to return the favor and host surfers as others have hosted me.
Interests
I'm a pretty active person who loves being outdoors, socializing with friends, being adventurous, and trying new things. I enjoy being with people and making the most of the world around me. I have loved my studies in psychology, and have grown up playing tennis, soccer, and running. Hiking and exploring, and trying new things whenever possible are at the top of my list!
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have one specific taste when it comes to music, movies, and books. For books and movies, I love action/ adventure, romance, or mystery, and always comedy. As far as music goes, I like a little bit of every genre more or less. Maroon 5 is definitely one of the best though, and I could listen to 99 Red Balloons or 500 Miles on repeat and never get tired of hearing them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking the risk to move to Spain and learn a new language, and realizing I never want to leave. I have also zip lined in Hawaii, and survived the craziness of Carnaval in both Cadiz and Las Islas Canarias. This last August I went to La Tomatina and had a crazy time being covered in tomatoes! (pro tip: if you ever go to the Tomatina, keep your mouth closed the whole time haha). Hopefully many more amazing experiences are yet to come!
Teach, Learn, Share
Life is what you make of it, and I want to make mine a crazy and exciting adventure. I would love to hear other people's perspectives and crazy stories, and learn everything I can from those around me.
