About Me
— Update!! We are attending graduate school at Oregon State University, and live in a small, quaint house with two other roommates. If you are in desperate need of a place, we may be able to help, but we also have to respect our roommates wishes (especially during coronavirus). Always feel free to reach out!
I've just finished university and am planning to travel as long as I can manage (with the bearded fool in all my photos - that's Stefan).
In college, I ran away to travel the summers. That took me to Southeast Asia, India, South America, and much of Europe. Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy it while I can, before it's too late, but I honestly can't imagine a life without travel.
I like long chats, and keeping quiet sometimes. I like to cook, and although I don't like to clean, I manage to do it quite well:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've never been in a position to host, but my family home was always open to friends of friends. And I've had great fun hopping on the couches of distant relatives. Really looking forward to try surfing through this platform. I think it's a cheap, fun way to get to know places with the people that know them best.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a profile for years now, haven't managed to break the seal until now. Lots of informal surfing and hosting tho!
Interests
As a poor college student, I've put most of my efforts into cooking yummy food for cheap, reading articles about social justice and rather obscure solutions to all our current problems, and taking mediocre photos. I love to hike, although sometimes I regret it when going too steeply up or downhill. I used to love reading, and suppose I still do, but haven't read a proper book in longer than I'm willing to admit. I'll put podcasts on in the background of virtually anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
Texas Chain Saw Massacre (just kidding, I provide very little threat)
I have lots of recommendations for offbeat articles and movies about all the weird ins and outs of American culture if you're interested
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stefan and I recently thought we were the world's best hitchhikers after spending a couple weeks in Georgia. Turns out everyone in Georgia is a saint, and we are very bad at hitchhiking.
Save us from the streets.
*update - I’d say we’re in the 60th percentile by now*
Teach, Learn, Share
Stefan and I became experts at dumpster diving for organic produce in the Whole Foods' compost pile. Come to us and learn our secrets
We can speak English (or Spanish) with an American accent, for all that's worth
I can book a damn cheap flight to pretty much anywhere in the world. Give me your biggest challenge
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good chats and a couch in return (if I ever have one)
